Louis Hine: From Rising Talent to 7-Goal Star

We are proud to celebrate a major milestone in the career of Louis Hine, one of Krono Polo’s earliest ambassadors and a true embodiment of polo excellence. After an incredible season in the United States — culminating in a stunning victory at the prestigious USA Gold Cup — Louis has had his handicap officially raised from 5 to 7 goals. A well-deserved recognition for a player whose journey has been nothing short of inspiring.

Louis’ story with Krono Polo began before the brand even officially launched. As a talented young player with a zero-goal handicap, Louis was among the very first to test Krono Polo products, riding alongside the now-owner of the brand. From those early days, his potential for greatness was clear — not just through his talent, but through his attitude, dedication, and understanding of the sport.

Polo runs deep in the Hine family's blood. His father, Andrew Hine, was a respected professional player during the 1990s, paving the way for a lifelong family commitment to the sport. His brother, Ned Hine, is also an outstanding professional player, and just a few weeks ago, his sister, Milly Hine, achieved the highest ladies’ handicap of 10 goals, placing her among the elite in women’s polo.

Behind all these achievements stands a fundamental pillar of their success — Robyn Hine, their mother, who has given unwavering support, guidance, and the strong values that have enabled Louis, Ned, and Milly to reach such incredible levels of excellence. Her role, often behind the scenes, has been absolutely crucial in shaping not just great players, but great individuals.

At Krono Polo, we are incredibly proud to have been part of Louis’ journey from the very beginning. Watching him grow from a talented young boy into one of polo’s rising stars has been an honor. We have no doubt that even greater accomplishments are yet to come.

Congratulations, Louis, on your 7-goal handicap and your continued success — the future of polo is in exceptional hands.
